RADIO SALTIRE NEEDS YOU!
As many of you will already know, Radio Saltire has been awarded a licence to broadcast on FM throughout East Lothian and will soon be available for everyone to listen to on their radios. Radio Saltire is staffed exclusively by volunteers and depends on donations and sponsorship to keep the station on the air. Broadcasting in FM will bring Radio Saltire even closer to the East Lothian community and will give the people and organisations of East Lothian an even greater platform in which to spread their message. This all comes at a cost though and so we urgently need to raise enough money so that we can continue serving our community of East Lothian.
We need to raise a minimum of £8000 in a very short period of time. The money will be used to purchase new transmission equipment, pay for licence fees and to upgrade existing equipment required to broadcast on FM.
If you can help us we have set up a Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/radio-saltireonfm
We also have a section here on our website (see below) where donations can be made via PayPal – Reference RSFM
We would like to thank the various organisations who have already made donations in recognition of the services our volunteers have given at various local events.
We can assure you that any donation you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Radio Saltire is a community radio station run by people who genuinely have the interests of the East Lothian community at heart.
Please donate if you can. Thank you.
COMING SOON TO 106.7 AND 107.2 FM IN EAST LOTHIAN…
Welcome to Radio Saltire!
Since 2011 Radio Saltire has been broadcasting 24/7 and our listening audience has increased to astonishing levels. The popularity of Radio Saltire continues to grow throughout Scotland, the UK and overseas.
The Saltire – Scotland’s Flag, is reputed to have been created in the village of Athelstaneford in East Lothian, during a battle way back in the 9th Century. We felt that this world famous icon was an ideal name for what is fast becoming Scotland’s favourite digital and online radio station.
