Suicide Prevention Week – Day 2
Radio Saltire and CHANGES Community Health Project in Musselburgh are joining forces for the seventh consecutive year for Suicide Prevention Week, running from 10th-14th September 2018.
As with previous years, we will be broadcasting a series of hour long shows, along with regular announcements, highlighting this most disturbing issue and the various options of help available.
On this second day, David Caldwell will be introducing a pre-recorded conversation that Brian Glass conducted recently. Brian spoke to Allen Paul and Karen Milroy from Police Scotland about the training methods officers are now using and new approaches when dealing with suicidal or distressed people.
The issue of suicide is of course not something restricted to one week a year, so please join us through the week.
There will be reminders throughout the hour long shows about the helplines available if you feel in distress or down.
If you are feeling down or need someone to talk to, remember that help is available and there are people ready and willing to take your call.
